Dr Jeremy Knox is a lecturer in Digital Education in the School of Education and a core member of the Digital Cultures in Education research group. He is currently also working on the AHRC funded artcasting project, to develop mobile applications for gallery education. Dr Knox developed and taught the pioneering ‘E-learning and Digital Cultures’ MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) in partnership with Coursera. He is currently developing MOOCs with the World Bank and the National Museum of Scotland.
Ary Aranguiz and Lorenzo Fiamma are the student representative for the project, both currently studying on the MSc Digital Education programme.
Professor Siân Bayne is Chair in Digital Education in the School of Education. In addition to leading the “Coding the MOOC Teacher” and the “New Geographies for Learning” projects, she has held grants from the V&A, the AHRC, the Royal Society of Edinburgh, and the Higher Education Academy.
Professor Dragan Gasevic is Chair in Learning Analytics and Informatics in the Schools of Education and Informatics at the University of Edinburgh. As the incoming President (2015- 2017) and a co-founder of the Society for Learning Analytics Research (SoLAR), he has had the pleasure to serve as a founding program co-chair of the International Conference on Learning Analytics & Knowledge (LAK) in 2011 and 2012, founding program co-chair of the Learning Analytics Summer Institute (LASI) in 2013 and 2014, and a founding editor of the Journal of Learning Analytics since 2013.
Matthew Hammond is Applications Development Team Manager in the IS Learning, Teaching and Web Services division. Matt has a broad background in software development with particular interest in data visualisation, cloud computing and interactive web services. He currently manages a portfolio of 40+ web applications serving the University of Edinburgh and external customers.
Amy Isard is a PhD student and Research Fellow in the Institute for Language, Cognition and Computation in the School of Informatics. Her PhD focuses on data-to-text methods, and her recent research has involved natural language generation and dialogue development as part of several European projects.
